“Cookies and similar technologies” can include cookies, local storage, pixels, scripts, device signals, and other ways a site stores or reads information on a device. MBTS keeps this layer deliberately small.
MBTS referral links carry a random code directly to the Contact or Quote form. The referral feature does not set a tracking cookie or follow the visitor across websites.
Technologies currently in use
| Technology | Purpose | When active | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare delivery and security | Deliver pages, mitigate malicious traffic, and maintain site security. | Necessary when you visit the site. | Varies by the applicable security feature and Cloudflare configuration. |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Distinguish legitimate form submissions from automated abuse using browser and device signals. | Loaded only after you acknowledge the notice beside a Contact or Quote form. | Signals and any necessary storage follow Cloudflare's Turnstile and security settings. |
mbts_privacy | Remember that you turned off aggregate page counting on this browser. | Only after you choose “Turn aggregate analytics off.” | Up to one year, or until you clear it or allow aggregate analytics again. |
mbts_optional_analytics | Remember whether this browser allowed or declined Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. | Set only after you make a choice or Global Privacy Control is applied. | Up to one year, or until you change the choice or clear browser data. |
mbts_marketing | Remember whether this browser allowed or declined Meta advertising measurement. | Set only after you make a choice or Global Privacy Control is applied. | Up to one year, or until you change the choice or clear browser data. |
Google Analytics 4 (_ga and _ga_*) | Measure page visits, navigation, source information, broad device details, and site usage without receiving form contents or MBTS custom user IDs. Advertising storage, Google Signals, and ads personalization are disabled. | Blocked until you select “Allow analytics.” It does not load on the owner-only review address or MBTS's private request inbox. | Configured to expire first-party analytics cookies after approximately 13 months. |
| Microsoft Clarity | Create heatmaps and session reconstructions from page visits, clicks, scrolling, navigation, errors, and device/browser information. Contact and Quote forms are explicitly masked; inputs and dropdown values are not recorded. | Blocked until you select “Allow analytics.” It does not load on the owner-only review address or MBTS's private request inbox. | Clarity cookies may persist for up to one year. Microsoft states that playback data is generally retained for 30 days and click, heatmap, and selected session data for up to 9 months. |
Meta Pixel (_fbp and, when applicable, _fbc) | Measure page views and generic lead events attributed to MBTS advertising. Advanced Matching is disabled; MBTS does not send names, emails, phone numbers, or form contents. | Blocked until you select “Allow marketing measurement.” It does not load on the owner-only review address or MBTS's private request and referral inboxes. | Controlled by Meta's settings and retention practices; MBTS removes accessible first-party Meta cookies when you turn it off. |
| Private administrator authentication | Keep MBTS's request inbox restricted to an authorized administrator. | Only when an MBTS administrator signs in; not used for public visitors. | Session-based and controlled by the authentication service. |
Optional Meta advertising measurement
The Meta Pixel remains technically blocked until you affirmatively allow marketing measurement. MBTS uses standard PageView and generic lead events only. Automatic and manual Advanced Matching are not enabled, and user-entered form information is not passed to Meta.
You can withdraw your choice through Privacy Choices. Global Privacy Control keeps the Meta Pixel off.
Cookieless aggregate analytics
MBTS records separate daily totals for approved public page paths, source domains, campaign tags, country/state codes, broad device classes, and completed Contact or Quote requests. These dimensions are not joined into visitor profiles. The metrics table does not store IP addresses, visitor identifiers, full referring URLs, raw user-agent strings, keystrokes, form text, or cross-site activity. No browser storage is needed to count a page.
You can still disable this count on Privacy Choices. A recognized Global Privacy Control signal disables the count automatically.
Optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity
Google Analytics measures visits and navigation. Microsoft Clarity helps MBTS understand interaction patterns, find confusing elements, diagnose errors, and improve navigation and conversion paths. MBTS does not send either provider custom user IDs, form values, quote descriptions, email addresses, or other user-entered text.
Both tools remain technically blocked until you affirmatively allow them. Advertising storage, Google Signals, and ads personalization remain disabled. You can withdraw your choice at any time through Privacy Choices. Global Privacy Control keeps both tools off.
What is not in use
- No Google Tag Manager.
- No LinkedIn, TikTok, or other advertising pixels beyond the consent-gated Meta Pixel described above.
- No Hotjar, FullStory, Mouseflow, or second session-replay tool.
- No custom user identification in Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity.
- No Advanced Matching or transmission of form fields to advertising providers.
If MBTS later proposes a nonessential analytics, advertising, chat, or personalization technology, it must be blocked until the required notice and preference control are in place.
